Formerly known as Clinical Legal Education,(C.L.E.), C.O.P. is an educational program grounded in an interactive and reflective teaching methodology with the main aim of providing LAW STUDENTS with practical knowledge, skills and values for the delivery of legal services and social justice to members of the society. Faculty of Law, University of Malaya is looking forward to build a BETTER LEGAL PROFESSION in its graduates through C.O.P. We have so far visited Sekolah Henry Gurney Wanita Batu Gajah, Sekolah Tunas Bakti Sungai Lereh and Kajang Prison. Visits to Kajang Prison are now done on a fortnight basis with C.O.P. assigned to a certain amount of inmates every visit. We mainly focus on educating our learners on their rights and how the law can play a part in their lives. C.O.P. has plans to reach out to different groups in the community and in the future to set up legal clinics to provide legal aid to the needy.
